Kalam Research and Media (KRM) and the Islamic and Strategic Studies Institute (ISSI) organised a “Kalam Day” at the International Islamic University of Malaysia (IIUM) campus for students interested in Kalam.
Kalam Research and Media (KRM) and the Islamic and Strategic Studies Institute (ISSI) organised a “Kalam Day” at the International Islamic University of Malaysia (IIUM) campus for students interested in Kalam. This event was done in partnership with IIUM’s Department of Usul al-Din & Comparative Religion (KIRKHS) and the Islamic Revealed Knowledge Students’ Secretariat (ISRAK). The Kalam Day was held on 12 October 2018.
IIUM Kalam Day is a new programme held by ISSI for all first year (First Semester and Second Semester) students of the Department of Usul al-Din and Comparative Religion.
The first session began with lectures on the “Introduction to Ilmu Kalam” by Assistant Professor Dr. Amilah Awang Abdul Rahman, the head of the department of Usul al-Din and Comparative Religion at IIUM, and another lecture on “Kalam Renewal as a Basis for Islamic Thought Revivification” by Dr. Amran Muhammad, Director of the ISSI-KRM offices.
