Workshop on Role of Kalam and National Transformation

Kalam Research and Media (KRM) and the Islamic and Strategic Studies Institute (ISSI) in Kuala Lumpur, held a workshop on 9 January 2018 on the topic of “The Role of Islamic Analytic Theology in the 2050 National Transformation Agenda”. 

Kalam Research and Media (KRM) and the Islamic and Strategic Studies Institute (ISSI) held a workshop on 9 January 2018 at the Hotel Putra in Kuala Lumpur on the topic of “The Role of Islamic Analytic Theology in the 2050 National Transformation Agenda”, bringing together over 50 academicians and researchers from various universities across Malaysia. 

The workshop was chaired by Dr Amran Muhammad, Director of Islamic and Strategic Studies Institute (ISSI) who spoke on the importance of Kalam, particularly Ash’ari Kalam, to Malaysia’s 2050 National Transformation Agenda. A presentation was also given by Dr Mohamed Hamidi on “An Introduction to the Methodology of Ash’ari Kalam”.
