Sheikh Abdulsalam Bzanti is Libya foremost religious scholar and theologian, and heir to Libya’s traditional heritage of learning. He studied at Ahmad Pasha College, and then at the Islamic University of Beda, under eminent Azhari scholars. He is the foremost student and heir of Sheikh Mahdi Abu Sh’alla, and Sheikh Ali Msalati, the two greatest Ash’ari scholars in Libya’ recent history. Sheikh Bzanti teaches theology and Maliki jurisprudence at the Uthman Pasha Madrasa. He is also the Khatib of Abu Rgiba Mosque in Tripoli. Sheikh Bzanti is a respected and trusted mufti by Tripolitanians.
