Dr Aref Ali Nayed, Chairman of the Libya Institute for Advanced Studies (LIAS) and Kalam Research and Media (KRM), participated today in a Consultative Meeting of scholars from the Sahel and Sudan. The Consultative Meeting was held under the title “Reconcile Among Yourselves” and was organised by the African Conference for Peace, in Nouakchott, Mauritania, under the auspices of the President of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, H.E. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El-Ghazaouani.
Dr Nayed spoke in the opening session of the Consultative Meeting about the current situation in Sudan, and ways to support the Sudanese people in their ordeal. He also held several meetings on the sidelines of the event with religious and political leaders from the Sudan, Chad, Niger, Mali, Burkina Faso, Nigeria, Senegal and Mauritania.
After the Consultative Meeting of scholars from the Sahel and the Sudan, Dr Aref Ali Nayed and other meeting participants were hosted by H.E. Sheikh Abdullah Bin Bayyah at his residence in Nouakchott, Mauritania.
Dr Aref Ali Nayed, also met at the residence of H.E. Sheikh Abdullah bin Bayyah in Nouakchott, the Egyptian delegation who participated in the Consultative Meeting in the capital city of Mauritania.
