Kalam Research and Media (KRM) and the Islamic and Strategic Studies Institute (ISSI), in cooperation with the Faculty of Science of the University of Malaya, organised a lecture series on Kalam and Modern Science.
Kalam Research and Media (KRM) and the Islamic and Strategic Studies Institute (ISSI), in cooperation with the Department of Science and Technology of the University of Malaya, organised a lecture series on Kalam and Modern Science. The first event of the lecture series was held on 6 February. The other two events will be held on 6 March and 17 April 2018, all at the University of Malaya in Kuala Lumpur.
The first lecture was by Professor Dr. Wan Ahmad Tajuddin Wan Abdullah followed by a panel discussion with invited speakers. The discussion revolve around how the Kalam related to modern Science, particularly on key scientific issues of the day. The panellists paid particular attention to topics such as Zarah (Atom), Kuantum (Quantum) and Kalut (Chaos).
Panellists included Professor Emeritus Shaharir Mohamed Zain, Professor Shahidan Radiman, Dr Adi Setia, Dr Mohammad Alinor Abdul Kadir, Dr Azmil Zaynal Abidin, Dr Wan Adli Wan Ramli, and the Director of Islamic and Strategic Studies Institute (ISSI), Dr Amran Muhammad.
