Kalam Research and Media (KRM) and the Islamic and Strategic Studies Institute (ISSI) Malaysia organised a 4-week long Kalam Renewal Masterclass with special focus on Islamic Psychology.
The Kalam Renewal Masterclass programme are running for a period of 4 weeks with a total of 9 sessions at the ISSI-KRM Kalam Station in Kuala Lumpur from from 17 July until 9 August 2018. The sessions were conducted on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with over 30 students and professionals from various backgrounds attending the programme.
The Masterclass will cover the following topics:
1. “Kalam Renewal & Its Relation to the Islamic Psychological Tradition” by Dr. Amran Muhammed (17 July);
2. “Ibn Sina’s Psychology” by Dr. Syamsuddin Arif (19 July);
3. “Syed Mohammad Naquib al-Attas’s Psychology” by Dr. Mohd Zaidi Ismail (24 July);
4. “Al-Hakim al-Tirmidhi’s Psychology” by Dr. Abdul Latif Abdul Razak (26 July);
5. “Fakhr al-Din al-Razi’s Psychology” by Dr. Adi Setia (31 July);
6. “Al-Ghazali’s Psychology” by Dr. Megawati Moris (2 August);
7. “Relations between Psychology and Tasawwuf” by Dr. Megawati Moris (7 August);
8. “The Role & Future of Islamic Psychology in Kalam Renewal” by Dr. Amran Muhammed (9 August)
9. “Heart-Centred Healing” by Lana Mohammad (9 August)
