Haytham Khalil is a post-doctoral student at Harvard University and is interested in AI and Machine Learning. His doctoral research uses the Statistical Learning Theory approach, and machine learning, particularly neural networks/deep learning algorithms for the characterisation of the mutational progression in gastrointestinal adenocarcinomas. He obtained his PhD from the University of Cambridge in Computational Cancer Biology, MSc in Computational Biology from Paris Cité University, MEng in Embedded Systems and BEng in Applied Physics from University of Strasburg. He was a former Associate Researcher at the Boston University’s College of Engineering, Visiting Graduate Research Fellow at Harvard Medical School, and has interned at the Institut d’electronique du Solide et des Systemes (L’INESS), Strasbourg, France.
