Dr Paul Hardy is scholar specialising in Islamic philosophy and theology. He did his BA and MA at Oxford and his Ph.D. in Islamic thought at the University of Chicago. He taught at the School of Oriental and African Studies and at the Hunter College in New York. In 2008 he was one of the Muslim delegation participants of the 2nd seminar of the Catholic-Muslim Forum. His recent essay was ‘Epistemology and Divine Discourse’ in Cambridge Companion to Classical Islamic Theology edited by Tim Winter (Cambridge University Press).
