Aref Nayed, Director of Kalam Research & Media, delivered a keynote lecture on the topic of “Growing Ecologies of Peace, Compassion and Blessing: A Muslim Response to ‘A Muscat Manifesto’” on Wednesday 21 October 2009 at the Cambridge Inter-Faith Programme at the Faculty of Divinity of the University of Cambridge.

The lecture followed from two lectures given by Professor David Ford, Regius Professor of Theology at the University of Cambridge, at the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque and at the Institute of Shariah in Muscat on 20 April 2009 where he called for the articulation “wise” and provided guidelines for future inter-faith relations and which became termed as ‘A Muscat Manifesto’.

Kalam Research & Media (KRM) has published Professor’s two lectures as a separate booklet entitled A Muscat Manifesto: Seeking Inter-Faith Wisdom.
